This has been a very welcome if unexpected rain. It’s not likely to rain much more before next October; this could be the last rain of the season. All the more reason to enjoy the sights only rain can bring.
As I approached the river-side deck in front of the Apple Box, I noticed rain dripping off the awning and splattering on the deck below. Hmmm. Why not shoot the drops colliding with the deck? I stood under the awning and took 22 (thank goodness for digital) pictures.
I made some shots with the flash on and some with it off. I could see the interesting patterns created by the splashing water but capturing the action was a challenge. So I started shooting. I hoped that if I pressed the button enough times, one or two photos would be timed just right.
